We are always expanding our capacity by investing in sliding head machining technology.
With companies now running six Star Sliding Head 7 axis twin spindle machines which provide simultaneous machining of both ends of a component. This is effectively doing the second end for free which can half the production costs allowing us to pass on the significant savings to our customers.
The Star machines are designed to run unmanned for sustained periods allowing us to run them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on suitable components, ideal for hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components in large batches. All our factories use similar machinery to guarantee high quality production.
We have various cnc lathes ranging in size from standard 2 axis through to 7 axis machines.
Shown here is the Doosan Puma GT 2100. This is a 2 axis machine with the latest Fanuc control, which sits alongside the Doosan S310SMLY 5 axis twin spindle machine, with live tooling to both spindles designed to reduce the operations required to produce complex turned parts.
The parts produced on this machine would all normally require a minimum of 2 or even 3 separate operations on conventional machines, but with this they can all be produced in one hit. Apart from the obvious benefits of one hit machining, ie; the production costs, there is also the advantage of speedy delivery, as we can begin to deliver finished components immediately, rather than having to wait for each individual operation to be completed.
With our factory recently investing in new machinery to increase their milling capacities, we now have bed sizes of around 1600mm x 765mm x 625mm and can take up to 1.6t in weight.
Other machining centres give us very generous machining areas, with table sizes of around 1250mm x 650mm with the added advantage of a full 4th axis capable of swinging up to 500mm diameter.
Our factory also has HAAS machining centres, 4 axis machines and 5 axis machines, both with high pressure through spindle coolant giving us the ability to tackle almost any job.
